Once I got out front I just tried to ride clean laps. Man, I can’t be any happier than this, back at Anaheim, big crowd, I’m really pumped.” Seth Hammaker, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki: “That was a wild race, probably one of the craziest races I’ve been in. Last few laps I had Garrett right behind me and I saw Lawrence coming. It got pretty gnarly at the finish, but that’s racing and I’m stoked to pull off the second place finish.” Hunter Lawrence, Honda HRC: “It was maybe five laps to go, I saw them, I kept pushing, kept charging, I hope it was fun to watch. I got a bad start, about seven guys hit the gate so it flinched. I wanted to get the pass there but I was still trying to keep it a little but civilized. I’m bummed because I could have won. It sucks, really.”
